Adoptions & Juvenile Court

Macon Family Law Attorney

Handling Adoptions and Juvenile Court Matters Throughout Middle Georgia

If you have decided to adopt a minor child, you want an experienced lawyer to guide you through the process. You want an attorney who fully understands the laws governing open and closed adoptions and who will protect your rights in court and in any interactions with the birth parents.

Likewise, if you face the termination of your parental rights in a juvenile court proceeding, you need an experienced attorney to ensure that your interests are properly represented. You may face a home evaluation, be ordered to seek counseling or even risk your custodial rights. An experienced lawyer will help you understand your options, so that you make informed decisions.

At The Law Offices of Kevin P. Bradley, we bring over 13 years of experience to individuals and families in Macon and the surrounding communities, whether they are seeking to adopt or they have juvenile court issues. We understand the emotions that can accompany an unresolved legal matter and will work hard to protect your rights and earn your trust. We believe that clear and objective answers are what you need in times of uncertainty and will counsel you openly and honestly about your adoption or juvenile matter. Contact our office to set up a confidential consultation.

Our Adoption Practice

We work with individuals and families throughout middle Georgia who seek to adopt, whether through an agency or the state, in an open or a closed adoption. We handle interstate adoptions as well as proceedings where all parties are in Georgia.

We will help you prepare any documents that need to be filed with the courts or with an adoption agency and will act as your advocate in all hearings, proceedings or other meetings. We will also assist you with a name change associated with the adoption.

Our Juvenile Court Practice

If the state or a private party has filed a request to terminate your parental rights, we have the experience and knowledge of the law to protect your interests at any stage of the process. Deprivation proceedings are often complex and lengthy, with a number of requirements. We will advise you in matters involving:

  • Requests to appoint a guardian ad litem to represent the interests of your children
  • Court orders or requests for home evaluations
  • Petitions or orders for counseling
  • Any additional court or administrative requirements

To schedule a confidential consultation, contact us or call us at 478-741-7393. Our office is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We will travel to meet with you if you are already in custody. We are flexible in accommodating the budgets of our clients and accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express in payment of services rendered.
